New Patients

We welcome all new patients to our Practice!

We offer two types of Registration at the Practice.

  1. Patients who live within our Practice

We register all patients that live within our inner boundary area. The area is bordered by parts of Stroud Green Road, Blackstock Road, Highbury Park, Highbury Hill, Drayton Park, Holloway Road, Tollington Way and Tollington Park.

Click here to see a map of the area outlined in blue.

Please check with reception team if you fall within this catchment area by providing your street name and postcode.

2. Patients who live outside our catchment area

We currently are only accepting out of area registrations for patients living within Islington. Please be aware we are not able to provide any home visits for patients who live out of our catchment area. Therefore we will only accept registrations for patients where we do not expect that home visits will be needed for you in the near future.

Should you find yourself in the situation that you do require a home visit you can contact NHS 111 who will be able to help you. Other than this out of area patients are entitled to the same level of medical care from our practice as any other patient.

Non-urgent advice: Non-urgent advice

When registering online we do require you to come to the practice to the practice to complete registration and complete a mini health check. This should take no longer than 15 minutes.

There are two ways that you can register with the Practice: In Person or Online.

Register in Person

To register in person, you will need to come in to pick up our registration pack or print it out and bring it to a member of Patient Services.

Non-urgent advice: Safe Surgery

Please note – we are known as a ‘Safe Surgery’ and as such do not require Proof of ID or Address and will register anyone that would like to be registered at our Practice, but we may still ask you for documentation solely for spelling/accuracy purposes so do request patients to have ID or address at hand in case.

Adults – Age 16 and over

Anyone aged 16 and over is deemed an adult.

Upon registration you will receive a welcome email from the Practice detailing information as to our services.

It will take us approx. 10 working days to manually input all your data onto our system after which time you are able to book an appointment to see a doctor or nurse when necessary.

We may also ask you to book an appointment with our Health Care Assistant for a NHS Check for over 35.

Children – Age 0-15

We can only register children if a parent or guardian is registered with the Practice or is registering at the same time. We will need to see the following:

A copy of the child’s Birth Certificate showing the parent’s names,

The child’s Red Book or a record of any immunisations they have had.

The name /address of your previous Practice would help to speed your registration up if you can please provide your NHS number ( you can obtain from your previous GP).

If registering a child under 5 years of age you must bring in the red book or proof of previous immunisations.

As part of our ongoing commitment to your health, we use mobile numbers and/or e mail addresses to contact you regarding your direct healthcare.

If you would prefer us not to do that please inform a member of our Patient Services team.
