New Patient Health Check

New Patient Health Check

We would like to ask all new patients over 35 years to have a health check. This is so that we can screen you for future problems such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes. If you have a long term condition such as diabetes, heart disease or high blood pressure, please make an appointment for a routine check up with a nurse.

To save you time, you can now use the Surgery Pod to update your medical history and to do a quick check up for blood pressure, weight and body mass index (BMI). This is located in the waiting area with an easy to use touch screen terminal.

If you have a long term condition and are taking regular medications, please make an appointment to see a doctor before these medications run out.

If you are under 25 years and are sexually active, we would like to invite you to have a check for chlamydia. Find out more about the National Chlamydia Screening Programme. It is a simple DIY test. Pick up a screening pack from the reception, do the sample, fill the form in, and we'll do the rest.
