Specialist Clinics

We offer a range of clinics staffed by experienced workers, these including dietician, counsellor, clinical psychologist, alcohol worker and drugs worker.

Please discuss with a doctor or nurse if you wish to be referred. You can make an appointment to see the alcohol counsellor without referral by a doctor or nurse. .

Postnatal Clinic - Fridays 2:00-3:00pm

This is held weekly with a GP for postnatal check and 6-8 week child health check. The nurse is available for immunisations. For this reason, mother and baby pairs are usually seen together and at eight weeks after birth. You will automatically receive a letter to make this appointment when we receive note from your hospital that you have given birth. If you do not hear from us after four weeks, please let us know.

Minor Procedures Clinic - Wednesday 2:30 - 5:30

Dr Antonia Lile is accredited by NHS Islington to provide this service for our own patients as well as patients from other practices. This clinic runs once a week for procedures such as joint injections and removal of any lumps, bumps and other benign skin conditions. Unusual or suspicious lumps will be referred to a hospital specialist. Other doctors are qualified to offer joint injections as well.

Please make a routine appointment for consultation with any GP.

Diabetes Clinic

Every Thursday morning with Nurse Cassie.

Cardiovascular Disease (CVD or Heart Disease) Clinic

Every Wednesday with Nurse Cassie.

Travel Immunisations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements.  This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.  There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Most travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge.  This is because travel vaccination is not included in the services provided by the NHS and therefore is a chargeable service.

The Village Practice clinical team is accredited to provide a range of specialist services. These are not confined to any particular time or day.

Specialist contraception - IUD, IUS, Implant

Please make an appointment with any doctor or nurse to discuss these methods. When starting any new method of contraception, we have to check you are not already pregnant and have not been at risk of pregnancy since your last period or stopping the last method. Appointment for fitting will only be made after a consultation discussing the risks and benefits.

Specialist Sexual Health Services

You can make an appointment with any regular GP or practice nurse to have a check up if you are worried about any sexually transmitted infections (STIs). We can offer treatment and counselling for most STIs. Our audits have shown we offer the same standard of care as a sexual health clinic.

We encourage anyone who may be at risk to have an HIV test - 1/3 of adults in the UK with HIV do not know they have the infection. Many people are diagnosed late when treatment can be less effective.

HIV Care

If you have HIV, we would like you to share this information with us; this is so that you get the best care from your specialist and your GP. Your specialist will give us the most up-to-date information about your treatment and care. Many people with HIV can be well with or without treatment. However, if we know that your immunity is poor, it will help us to give you the right advice at the right time. It is also important to let us know if you are taking treatment for HIV as there could be interactions with common drugs such as antibiotics.

It is important to keep yourself fit and healthy whether you are on treatment or not. Once you are on our register, we will invite you for health checks, flu, pneumococcal and hepatitis B vaccinations, contraceptive advice and yearly cervical smears for women.
